A house for the meeting is in Albi – which is situated near well known climbing areas Margalef and Siurana.
We expect to have a fruitful roundtable discussion there and we hope that we will also be able to arrange some climbing in surrounding scenic limestone areas.
Albi
The town of l'Albi (807 inhabitants) lies at the foot of the 12th-century medieval castle, now in ruins.
The parish church of Santa Maria dates back to the 18th century, and is built in Renaissance style with a baroque façade. It has a nave and two aisles and a 34-metre-high bell tower. Inside is the crypt of the barons of l'Albi.

Inside the 17th-century chapel of Sants Metges Cosme i Damià (17th century) are paintings of Saints Abdon and Sennen and of Saint Anthony of Padua.
In the town centre, the square and Carrer Major are adorned with porticoes and stone houses. The old Jewish Quarter, or Call, is entered from Carrer Major through a 14th-century Gothic arch.

Some of the most interesting buildings in the town include the Town Hall, the farmers' cooperative (built by Cèsar Martinell), the round arch in Carrer del Forn and the remains of the old walls.
In the municipal borough, five kilometers from L'Albi itself, are the Vall de la Coma cave paintings. Historic heritage declared of cultural interest, the caves can be visited by arrangement with the town hall.
